‘The Upside’ is out now on Blu-Ray
I have seen some of Kevin Hart’s films. I thought he was great in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Bryan Cranston gave a stellar performance in Isle of Dogs. So when I heard of The Upside I was looking forward to seeing it. I was able to get a review copy and this is what I thought of this movie.

Recently paroled ex-convict, Dell Scott strikes up an unusual and unlikely friendship with a quadriplegic billionaire, Phillip Lacasse in this hilarious and heartfelt comedy. I was pretty impressed with The Upside. It was mostly a drama, but had some good comedic moments sprinkled in. Seeing Kevin Hart play a different role was a welcome change, and he did a great job in this film. The story this movie told was riveting and told how these two people became friends. The ending did an okay job bringing this film to a close. There are a few deleted scenes and a hilarious gag reel.
